Pre-Conference Tours - Tour II

July 21-23, Northern Germany: Hamburg to Bonn

Duration: 2.5 days

On Saturday July 21 the get-together of participants, who landed at Hamburg airport, is arranged in a hotel in Pinneberg close to the airport. A dinner directly at Hamburg harbour is arranged in order to get to know each other.

The next day (Sunday, July 22) the bus tour starts with the city of Hamburg (sightseeing with a visit of the "Elbphilharmonie") and continues with a visit of Gut Hülsenberg (http://www.guthuelsenberg.de) at Wahlstedt. This farm is a combined dairy and biogas farm and is also the R&D farm of Schaumann (http://www.schaumann.de), a global player in the feed industry producing and distributing silage inoculants and feed additives.

The next station will be a specialized dairy farm in Felm close to Kiel (Schleswig Holstein). Dinner and accommodation will take place in Schleswig.

At the last day of the excursion (Monday, July 23) the bus tour continues with a visit of an organic dairy farm (http://www.backensholz.de) cheese production and tasting different cheese varieties. After leaving Schleswig Holstein the last visit is arranged in Spelle (Lower Saxony). The company KRONE (http://www.krone.de), producing forage production equipment such as self-propelled harvesters and others, is the last point of interest.

The tour will end in Bonn later in the evening of that day.

Price for this tour: € 120.00
